Technical assessment
A suitable independent specialist evaluates the technical position and reports back.
Agreed legal work
Written fee terms, internal review and the relevant submission and approval process.
1. Tell us what happened
Provide a concise account, the parties or platform involved, your location, key dates and any existing complaints or proceedings. Keep the original records. Do not send account passwords, wallet seed phrases or private keys.
2. Free initial case review
The firm reviews the information, potential conflicts, jurisdiction and whether the matter is suitable for a technical referral. This initial case review is free, with no firm retainer. It assesses the appropriate next step; acceptance of paid representation has not yet been confirmed.
3. Referral for technical assessment
If suitable, we recommend an independent recovery company from our vetted nationwide network. The specialist examines the transaction trail and whether there is a technically feasible basis for further recovery work. Its own assignment, terms and any charges are explained before that work is instructed.
4. Findings return to the firm
The specialist supplies its findings and report to the firm under the agreed authority to share information. We review the technical conclusions, their limits, the supporting records and the legal questions. Technical feasibility does not determine legal entitlement or guarantee that funds can be returned.
5. Written engagement and fee terms
If the report supports a proposed legal route and the client wishes to proceed, the firm provides a written engagement. It discloses the standard professional fee, any applicable retainer terms, the authorization and jurisdictional submission work, and the scope and responsibilities. The firm’s fee applies at this stage, after the technical findings have returned and the client agrees to the engagement. Fee amounts are disclosed privately in the agreement.
6. Internal review and relevant checks
The firm completes its internal review and identifies the requirements of the relevant jurisdiction and proposed submission. Where appropriate, we check SARFUND and other relevant records for related reports or existing activity. Registry information is checked with the responsible parties where needed; it does not replace an agency’s own confirmation.
7. Approvals before dependent next steps
Any required submission or request is made to the appropriate decision-maker within the agreed authority. The client is told what has been submitted, what decision is needed and what remains outstanding. Work that depends on an approval proceeds only when the necessary approval has been obtained.
8. Coordinated follow-through
After the required reviews and approvals, the firm coordinates the next agreed legal steps and any authorized technical assistance. The strategy, evidence and costs are reviewed as the matter develops. No investigation, approval, asset restriction or recovery result is guaranteed.
Established technical and investigative relationships
We work with more than 13 vetted independent recovery companies nationwide, across multiple states, and with vetted and verified private investigators. Partner identities are shared privately where appropriate to the referral and engagement.
The firm handles the legal work it has agreed to undertake. Independent specialists perform their defined technical or investigative work. Courts, agencies, platforms and other responsible parties make decisions within their own authority.
Checking for related activity
SARFUND describes itself as a public registry and claim-coordination platform for reported crypto brokers and investment platforms. Where relevant, registry checks help identify potentially related reports or existing recovery activity. Any material connection and the status of an investigation require appropriate confirmation; a listing or lack of a listing does not settle the matter.
A clear written record
Keep your enquiry reference for correspondence. Updates distinguish work completed, requests made, decisions received and the next instruction required. There is no public case-tracking facility. Contact info@cryptoslawyers.com through the appropriate correspondence route.
Response and approval times can vary
Coordination with banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, other platforms and relevant agencies can take time. The time needed for a response, agreement or approval varies according to the institution, its internal checks, the jurisdiction, the records requested and the circumstances of the matter.
For these reasons, we may be unable to give a reliable completion timeframe. Any estimate depends on the evidence, third-party responses, jurisdictional requirements and required approvals, and may change as the matter progresses. The firm follows up within its agreed scope and keeps the client informed of material developments, including when a completion date cannot yet be given. Third parties control their own reviews and decisions. A submission, acknowledgement or ongoing discussion does not mean that approval has been granted or that assets will be released by a particular date. Further steps remain subject to the required authority and approvals.
