- Additional source information
- The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA” or “the Authority”) has become aware of an entity operating under the name of Dextra Capital (“the Entity”) which had an internet presence at https://dextra.capital/ and https://dextrafinance.io/. Both websites are offline at the time of this publication, although from information available to the MFSA, the Entity purported to be a decentralised finance platform operating in and from Malta, making unauthorised use of company details of a Maltese registered company.
The MFSA wishes to alert the public that Dextra Capital is NEITHER a Maltese registered company NOR licensed or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide any investment services or other financial services which are required to be licensed or otherwise authorised under Maltese law. The public should therefore refrain from entering into any transactions or otherwise dealing with the above-mentioned entity on any matters falling within the parameters of the Investment Services Act, Chapter 370 of the Laws of Malta or the Virtual Financial Assets Act, Chapter 590 of the Laws of Malta.
The MFSA would like to remind consumers of financial services not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made is authorised to provide such services by the MFSA or another reputable financial services regulator. Investors are advised to be extra cautious when being approached with offers of financial services via unconventional channels such as telephone calls or social media.
A list of entities licensed by the MFSA can be viewed on the official website of the MFSA at https://www.mfsa.mt/financial-services-register/. For more information on financial scams please refer to the MFSA scam awareness document to keep yourself informed on red flags which help consumers of financial services to identify such financial scams.
If you are a victim of a scam or think you might be dealing with an unauthorised entity or any other type of financial scam, first of all stop all transactions with the company and contact the MFSA at https://www.mfsa.mt/about-us/contact/ as soon as a suspicion arises.
Read the source in its own terms
The recorded category is attributed to the authority above. An authorization-related notice is not by itself a court judgment of fraud. Read the precise warning or finding and the jurisdiction to which it applies.
Compare the exact identity
The recorded address is https://dextra.capital/. Compare the complete domain, path or profile against the service you actually used. A trading name alone may not establish the same entity. Retain the original communications, platform terms and payment records that identify your counterparty.
Dates and current status
Source registration, validation and modification dates are reproduced where available. They are distinct from this website’s actual release date and may differ from the original warning date. Historical information may change. Consult the linked authority for its current position.
Issues for legal review
The source notice is background to a legal assessment, not a decision on a reader’s individual claim. The relevant questions include the identity of the contracting or communicating party, the representations made, the payment history, the applicable terms and the forum in which a dispute could be addressed. The evidence must be assessed against the actual legal issue and any relevant deadline.
Report the matter to the firm
If your experience concerns the identity described in this notice, tell CRYPTOS LAWYERS what happened and provide the exact platform details, approximate dates and the parties involved. The firm will review whether it can assist, including conflict, jurisdiction and scope checks. A written engagement is required before representation begins.
Where a legal assessment requires transaction analysis, an independent technical investigator or recovery company may be instructed or referred privately on agreed terms. Counsel reviews the resulting report and assesses the appropriate lawful legal steps. A technical report or complaint filing does not itself authorize an asset restriction or establish an entitlement to payment.
